This event is hosted by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahandre/">Andre</a>, one of the active members of the <a href="http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/indosing-photographer/">mailing list</a>. The workshop itself is conducted by <a href="http://wiki.indo-sing.org/Erbe">eRBe</a>. As some of us might have known, my presence there was just a "<i>penggembira</i>" :), since I don't consider myself as an avid photographer. It has a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halal">halal</a> certification from <a href="http://www.muis.gov.sg/">MUIS</a>. When I went there earlier this afternoon for lunch, this stall has the longest queue compared to other stalls in the vicinity. However, surprisingly the service is quite fast and efficient, and I didn't have to wait for long to get my chicken rice set. The price is also, surprisingly, reasonable. Normal chicken rice dish will cost you only $2.50 to $3.00, while more "complete" set with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg_(food)">egg</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tofu">tofu</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gizzard">gizzard</a> like what I had earlier only cost me $4.00. On Saturday (12/4) afternoon, we went to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86ON_Tebrau_City_Shopping_Centre">AEON Tebrau City</a> and had lunch at the <a href="http://www.jusco.com.my/JuscoHome/html/jusco/storeinfo/TC/tc_index.php">JUSCO food court</a> located on the second floor. We stayed at <a href="http://www.asiatravel.com/malaysia/cinta_ayu/index.html">Cinta Ayu All Suites Hotel</a> [ <b>note:</b> Cinta Ayu, not Cinta Laura :P :P ], a nice apartment-type hotel located in the vicinity of <a href="http://www.pulaisprings.com/pulai_springs_resort.htm">Pulai Springs Resort</a>. This resort is located on the outskirts of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johor_Bahru">Johor Bahru</a>, along the main road leading to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontian%2C_Johor">Pontian</a>. Although the resort is meant more for golfers (since it's surrounded by two 18-hole golf courses), it also provides quite good facilities for families as well. The four of us took a flight from Singapore to Bangkok, and we met Aki and Ene who came directly from Jakarta to Bangkok. Instead of renting the bicycles at the usual place in <a href="http://www.lifestylewiki.com/Marine_Cove_Recreation_Centre">Marine Cove</a>, we rented the bicycles at another kiosk in Raintree Cove, further east from Marine Cove, near a Burger King outlet there. The bicycles are of better quality, with the same price and the same promotion (rent 1 hour and get another hour free). Location: Little Guilin, Bukit Batok Town Park, Bukit Gombak, Singapore. Today is a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Friday">public holiday</a> in Singapore. In the morning, I took a short stroll at <a href="http://www.nparks.gov.sg/park7.asp">Bukit Batok Town Park</a>, which is not far from our current residence now. The park is more famously known as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Guilin">Little Guilin</a>, because there's a lake surrounded by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granite">granite rocks</a> similar to that of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guilin">Guilin</a> in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27s_Republic_of_China">China</a>. After strolling around the lake, I walked towards the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bukit_Gombak_MRT_Station">Bukit Gombak MRT station</a> and went to <a href="http://www.hungrygowhere.com/singapore/alif_restaurant/">Alif restaurant</a>, which is located just next to the <a href="http://www.mcdonalds.com.sg/">McDonalds</a> there, to buy back some <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roti_prata">pratas</a> for breakfast at home. The queue is quite long and it seems that they are having difficulties to cope with such high demand. She had a small accident during her stay here in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore">Singapore</a>, causing her to have difficulties in walking. So I had to accompany her to Batam since she refused to take a direct flight from <a href="http://www.changiairport.com/">Changi airport</a>. Took the <a href="http://www.batamfast.com/">BatamFast ferry</a> from <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore_Cruise_Centre">Harbourfront</a> to <a href="http://www.batam-center.web.id/">Batam Center</a>, and I found that the ferry is not as good as <a href="http://www.penguin.com.sg/">Penguin</a>. After having lunch at the Singgalang restaurant located at the airport (where I can taste the "real" nasi padang), I took a cab back to Batam Centre and had some groceries shopping from the hypermarket at the basement of the Batam Centre Megamall, before heading back to the ferry terminal across the road and took the next ferry back to Singapore. IMM is one of our favourite shopping centres we frequently visit, since it's very close to our current (and near future) residence. IMM is equipped with a playground, which is located on the 3rd floor of the shopping mall. There are two playgrounds, wet and dry, which are located side by side. Not far from the playgrounds, is a halal food court called Bagus, which is managed by Banquet.
