Date: Monday, 17 March 2008.

I went to Batam yesterday to accompany my mother to Hang Nadim airport, for her to catch the flight to Jakarta. She had a small accident during her stay here in Singapore, causing her to have difficulties in walking. So I had to accompany her to Batam since she refused to take a direct flight from Changi airport.

Took the BatamFast ferry from Harbourfront to Batam Center, and I found that the ferry is not as good as Penguin.

After having lunch at the Singgalang restaurant located at the airport (where I can taste the "real" nasi padang), I took a cab back to Batam Centre and had some groceries shopping from the hypermarket at the basement of the Batam Centre Megamall, before heading back to the ferry terminal across the road and took the next ferry back to Singapore.

lho sekarang kebalik toh ? dulu batam fast jauh lebih bagus and cepat dari penguin. batam fast dah tua kali yak ferrynya ?

Dear all, terima kasih atas doa-nya untuk Mama saya.

Beliau terjatuh waktu sedang berjalan keluar kompleks apartemen, dan kakinya sakit sehingga menyulitkan beliau untuk berjalan.

Setelah sampai di Jakarta, keesokan harinya langsung periksa di rumah sakit, dan ternyata salah satu tulang jari kakinya ada yang patah dan harus di-gips.

Untung waktu di airport Batam, beliau punya akses ke executive lounge, dan staff-nya membantu menyediakan kursi roda untuk mama saya naik pesawat dan turun pesawat (pas di Cengkareng). Padahal pesawat-nya budget (AirAsia) tapi ternyata pelayanan dari airport-nya sama bagusnya.

Betul Teh, tapi sayangnya Wavemaster tidak lagi melayani jalur Batam Centre.
